Monday evening Kripalu Yoga classes 
(with Rob)
Compassionate, heart centered all-levels classes that give you permission to take your own yoga practice to the level of challenge that is right for you. 

Day/Time
Mondays 7-8:30 pm –12 class series
September 26th – Dec 19th
(no class Oct 10th)

Cost
Complete series: $144 (12 classes)
6-class pass: $81 – Attend any class (to be used within the Fall series)
Drop-in rate: $15 per class

Open to all levels, this 1½ hr long experience incorporates breathing exercises, postures, relaxation, meditation and more.

Enjoy a mid-week day-time practice under the loving guidance of Sitara and the company of like-hearted friends.

Yoga Off the Mat Support Group
A supportive environment where together we use the power of “sangha” (spiritual community) to support each other in our spiritual practice and to reconnect to our natural state of being. In the process we create a deep bond and we learn from and assist each other to come closer to that place of love, joy and peace.

Living Fully Your Life Purpose workshop -

A co-creative experiential workshop in which Sitara will share some tools that have supported her in receiving the insights and clarity needed to take the necessary steps to move forward in manifesting her life calling.

Chanting: Connecting to Divine through Sacred Sound workshop
Almost all spiritual traditions incorporate some form of chanting as a powerful gateway to self-realization and connection to the divine.

In this workshop we’ll examine the numerous benefits of mantra and chanting and discuss when and how to use them. We’ll also have an opportunity to experience the effects of the recitation of simple prayers, the repetition of specific mantras, (including bija mantras, the chakra sounds), chants from the Kripalu tradition, japa meditation, and kirtan, on all levels of our being. We also explore barriers and obstacles to vocal expression, such as fear and insecurity.

You do not have to be a singer or have musical ability to take this workshop.

Join Sitara for this unique “country within the city” experience. You will learn how to transition smoothly from summer to winter. Prepare for the season by creating a lifestyle and practice that supports your body and mind.

Fall Day-long Retreat for teachers
Learn how to incorporate powerful tools and experiential exercises into your yoga classes and/or workshops and have fun doing it. Use Affirmations, Visualizations, Inspirational Readings, Stories, Evocative music, Sculptures/Posturing, Energy Circles, Energy Medicine, Chanting, Dance, Partner Yoga, Bodywork, Journalying, Co-listening, Group Sharing, and other techniques used in Kripalu Yoga programs and other healing modalities to develop themes, to inspire and deepen your students’ spiritual practice, to create “sangha” – spiritual community and to take you to the next level as a teacher.

Includes a workshop, a yoga class, a vegetarian cooking class, a walk in the ravine and time for relaxation and sharing.

Fall Week-end Retreat

Enjoy a special week-end of yoga, meditation and healthy living at a peaceful retreat centre on a sprawling country acreage. Toronto Kirtan Community
Circle & Potluck Gatherings


Kirtan is a form of devotional singing – often call and response – that incorporates music to create a high energetic healing vibration. In India, kirtaniyas (kirtan leaders) gather in circles and alternate leading chants. Join Sitara Sylvia Maldonado, Shakuntala Lynn Himmelman, Shiva Jim Gelcer, Lana Sugarman, Donna Poulidis, Francoise Roy, Alyssa Cohen and other musicians as we joyfully share this heart-opening devotional practice and continue building the kirtan community in Toronto.

*Registration

To hold your space for any of the events (except the weekend retreat), a non-refundable deposit of $25 is required. Deposit for the weekend retreat is $125.

Space is limited so register early to reserve your spot.

Full payment for any of the events must be made one week before the start date.

Payment can be made by cash, money order, check or PayPal.

If you are currently attending any of Sitara’s classes or events, you can bring your deposit in person. If you prefer to register by mail please contact Sitara for the details.
